Advertising privacy and cookie choices

Updated 8 September 2026. Oliey Ltd, company number 16841273, operates oliey.com. This page explains our optional Google advertising measurement; it does not describe every purpose for which the shop processes information.

Your choice

Essential first-party cookies keep your shopping bag, account sign-in and security working. Optional advertising measurement is off until you choose Accept optional. Choosing Reject optional, dismissing the notice or reading this policy does not prevent browsing or buying. A previous mandatory cookie choice is not treated as permission for this new measurement.

What optional measurement does

With your permission, we retain an opaque first-party advertising token and Google click identifiers (gclid, gbraid or wbraid) when available. We link eligible click attribution to an order when checkout is created. After our server verifies a real, positive, live payment, our server can send Google the click identifier and a transaction identifier, paid value, currency and payment time. This helps us understand which advertising leads to purchases. Test payments and unpaid orders are excluded.

When you accept our updated notice, we can also report a successfully submitted custom enquiry as a separate, zero-value event with its time and pseudonymous event identifier. The enquiry description, images and contact details are not included. Enquiries are not purchases. Previous purchase-only consent is not silently extended to these events; the updated choice is requested first.

This Google measurement upload does not contain your customer name, email address, delivery address or IP address. We do not load a Google advertising script in your browser for this flow. Advertising permission is separate from permission to receive marketing emails.

Retention and withdrawal

The optional attribution token and click-attribution window last for up to 90 days from your consent, unless you withdraw sooner. Changing a click identifier does not extend that consent period. We retain an essential cookie-choice marker so we can remember a rejection; ordinary order, payment and accounting records follow their separate operational retention requirements.

You can use Cookie settings in the footer at any time to reject optional measurement. Once that withdrawal reaches our server, it revokes this browser's consent and suppresses its unsent conversion uploads, including earlier checkout bindings. It does not reverse information already sent to or processed by Google. If saving your withdrawal fails, the notice explains the problem and lets you retry; local optional capture is stopped immediately.
