South Africa

Cheap flights to Cape Town

Cape Town sits beneath the flat top of Table Mountain, with beaches, vineyards and wild coastline all within easy reach. Take the cable car or hike to the summit, visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, and see the African penguins at Boulders Beach on the way to Cape Point. The Stellenbosch and Franschhoek winelands are perfect for a day of tastings.

Direct overnight flights from London take around eleven and a half hours, and South Africa is only one or two hours ahead of the UK, so jet lag is minimal. For cheap flights to Cape Town, look outside the December and January peak and compare direct and one-stop routes. Car hire is a popular way to explore the Garden Route.
