Terms and Conditions

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you book travel through oliey.com or with our travel team. "Oliey", "we" and "us" mean Oliey Ltd, a private limited company registered in the United Kingdom under company number [company number], with its registered office at [registered office address]. You can contact us at contact@oliey.com.

"You" means the person making the booking. By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 and are authorised to accept these terms for everyone named on the booking.

2. Our role as your booking agent

Unless we tell you that you are booking a package (see section 10), we act as agent for the airline, hotel, car hire company, transfer operator or other supplier that provides your travel service. Your contract for that service is with the supplier, and the supplier's own conditions, such as fare rules, baggage allowances and cancellation policies, apply as well as these terms. We show you the key supplier conditions before you pay.

3. Making a booking

A booking is confirmed only when we email you a confirmation with your Oliey reference and, where relevant, the supplier's reference. If a supplier cannot confirm your booking after you have paid, we will offer an alternative where one is available or refund you in full.

Some requests, such as group travel or tailor-made packages, are handled as quotes by our travel team during business hours. A quote is not a booking, and its price is held only for the period stated in it.

4. Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include the supplier's price, the taxes and charges known at the time of booking, and any Oliey fee. They do not include:

Prices are not guaranteed until your booking is confirmed. If the price changes before then, we will tell you and you can decide whether to continue. We take payment by debit or credit card through our payment provider, Stripe, and we do not store your full card number. If we make an obvious pricing error, you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5. Traveller details

Enter each traveller's name exactly as it appears on their passport, and make sure dates of birth and contact details are correct. Check your confirmation as soon as it arrives and tell us about any mistake straight away. Airlines may refuse boarding if names do not match, and some only allow corrections for a fee, or not at all.

6. Passports, visas and health requirements

Each traveller is responsible for having a valid passport, any visa or electronic travel authorisation, and any vaccinations or health documents needed for their journey, including for countries they pass through. Check the GOV.UK foreign travel advice before you book and again before you travel. We are not responsible if a traveller is refused boarding or entry because they do not have the right documents.

7. Changes and cancellations by you

Whether you can change or cancel, and at what cost, depends on the supplier's rules for your fare or rate. Many low-cost fares and non-refundable hotel rates cannot be changed or refunded. To request a change or cancellation, email contact@oliey.com with your booking reference. We will tell you the total cost before we act, and only go ahead once you agree. The cost may include:

The 14-day cancellation period that applies to many online purchases does not apply to travel services booked for specific dates.

8. Refunds

Where a refund is due, the supplier must pay it to us before we can pass it on, and airlines and hotels can take several weeks to do so. Once we receive it, we will refund the card you paid with, less any fees we have told you about, within 14 days. If you do not use a non-refundable flight, some government taxes may still be refundable, although the airline may charge a processing fee.

9. Schedule changes and cancellations by suppliers

If an airline or other supplier changes or cancels your booking, we will contact you with your options, such as accepting the change, choosing another flight or requesting a refund, so please keep your contact details up to date.

If your flight is cancelled or delayed, or you are denied boarding, you may have rights against the airline under UK law, including a refund, rerouting, care and sometimes compensation. We will help you understand these rights, but compensation claims must be made to the airline.

10. Package holidays and linked travel arrangements

If you book a flight and hotel together, or another combination of travel services, your booking may be a package or a linked travel arrangement under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. We will tell you before you pay if this applies and give you the information the Regulations require.

Where we organise a package, we are responsible for the proper performance of all the travel services included, and the money you pay is protected if we become insolvent. Our financial protection: [financial protection details, e.g. ATOL number if applicable]. If your booking is not a package, these protections do not apply and your contract is with each supplier.

11. Our liability

As agent, we are responsible for arranging your booking with reasonable care and skill, but not for how suppliers provide their services, although we will help you raise any problem with them. Where we organise a package, our liability is as set out in the Regulations.

We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, industrial action or government restrictions. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory rights are not affected.

12. Complaints

If something goes wrong during your trip, tell the supplier straight away so they can put it right, and let us know too. To complain about our service, email contact@oliey.com with your booking reference. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond in full within 28 days. If a complaint about an airline cannot be resolved, the airline may belong to a dispute resolution scheme approved by the Civil Aviation Authority, and we can tell you how to use it.

13. Changes to these terms

The version of these terms that applies to your booking is the one published on our website when you booked.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
